Wi-Fi growth continues in 2007 |
|
According to ABI Research, Wi-Fi hotspots throughout the world will reach 179,500 this year, with almost three-quarters of those sites in North America and Europe. As predicted for the past several years, the rate of hotspot growth in the Asia Pacific region has been outstanding. ABI predicts the number of hotspots in that region will be close to equal that of North America by 2012. Of these many hotspots, hotels play a huge role: about 46,000. |
